Usain Bolt has won the men’s 100m final at the London Olympics 2012  games in a record time of 9.63 seconds.

Jamaican mega superstar, Usain Bolt won the star studded final in 9.63 seconds to retain the Olympic gold medal he won 4 years ago in Beijing.

Despite getting off the blocks late, the world and Olympic record holder, powered to victory ahead of compatriot Yohan Blake and American bronze medalist Justin Gatlin.

Known around the world as ‘Lightning Bolt’, he lived up to the legend to beat his fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake, who claimed silver with a time of 9.75, and American Justin Gatlin, who won bronze in 9.79.

Left trailing were American Tyson Gay, who finished in fourth place while Asafa Powell failed to get into medal winning position despite taking the early lead.
